Which pound? Our “Grade A” target is one pound (about 454 g) of premium indoor flower: cured, trimmed, full-size buds from established strains. Smalls, shake, trim and rare-exotic premiums are excluded.
The figures below are broader references, not verified premium-indoor prices. Grow method, grade and strain are not isolated. Quality, order size and deal terms also affect price.

Some states publish what licensed businesses reported paying each other for flower. The median is the middle reported price for the period: half of transfers were higher and half were lower. It isn't any single deal.
Some states set a per-pound value used to calculate cannabis tax, built from the state's own model. It's a reference for tax purposes, not a record of what buyers paid.
Our premium-indoor comparison target means cured, well-trimmed, full-size flower from established strains, without a rare-exotic premium. It excludes smalls, shake and trim. The current sources do not verify this specific category or separate indoor, greenhouse and outdoor prices. Their broader figures must not be relabeled as Grade A indoor prices. Strain, quality, order size and deal terms also affect a quote.
No figure means we couldn't verify a public per-pound flower price for that state and period. It doesn't mean prices are low, or that there's no market.
The figures use different measures, and many states don't publish one at all. Averaging or ranking them would suggest a precision the data doesn't have.
The June 2, 2026 KGOU / Oklahoma Watch report quotes one Lost Brothers Cannabis co-owner at about $1,100 per pound. It is older, approximate and not a statewide average. We do not calculate quote comparisons against this anecdote.
Figures are shown as published at the time of the Nov 1, 2026 snapshot. Sources may revise them later.
